MUSCATINE, Iowa–The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine is pleased to announce the inaugural Mary Jo & Richard H. Stanley Human Conditions Support Grant recipients.

“We are grateful for the generosity of Mary Jo and Dick who choose to leave a legacy gift to enrich lives locally and nationally at their passing,” said Lynsey Krusie, Programs Manager. “These inaugural grants reflect the ongoing commitment the Stanley’s had to our community and the causes they valued most.”

The Mary Jo & Richard H. Stanley Human Conditions Support Fund was established in 2020 to support charitable organizations that demonstrate strategic impact in furthering human conditions.

$50,000 total in grants were awarded to:

Aligned Impact Muscatine County for furthering their mission to align community resources and identify effective practices for implementation to reduce achievement gaps and improve outcomes for all students and families.

Muscatine Center for Social Action for Domestic Violence Shelter Program Support, Shelter Program Support, and Homeless Prevention Program support.

AIM is honored to receive a grant from the inaugural Mary Jo & Richard H. Stanley Human Conditions Support Fund,” said Kim Warren, Director, Aligned Impact Muscatine County: “We know how important it was to the Stanley’s that the community work together to ensure that all students are able to succeed and live to their fullest potential. We are thrilled to be a part of their legacy to the Muscatine community. On a personal note, I knew Dick through membership in Rotary. He truly embodied the Rotary motto, Service Above Self, so I am deeply grateful we received this grant to continue to work in service of others in our community.”
