MUSCATINE, Iowa – In 2004, John Morford was selling sandwiches on the corner, just a guy and a grill. Now 17 years later, Morford has built that vision into a restaurant and catering business. On Thursday, June 17, the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry and A Guy and A Grill staff celebrated Morford’s newly remodeled dining room and expanded menu with a ribbon cutting and grand re-opening ceremony. After business slowed down in 2020, Morford wanted to remodel the restaurant to represent his vision and his food with the space. Voted Muscatine’s Best Caterer, A Guy and A Grill offers a newly expanded menu ranging from smoked ribs and brisket to breaded tenderloins, burgers, and catfish dinners with plenty of sides to choose from. In addition to a new menu, food can now be ordered online and there are now two drive through lanes available for picking up food to go!

A Guy and A Grill is available for catering family get togethers, weddings, and large corporate events. While the restaurant is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, their fleet of 6 catering trucks are available to help provide delicious quality food and service! A Guy and A Grill’s full-service catering specializes in on-site cookouts in Muscatine, Davenport, Moline, and surrounding areas. To place a catering order call John today at 563-260-0229.
