With the weather as cold as it has been lately, nothing is quite as welcome as a good heart-warming story. Just last week, I heard some great news from Team Staffing Solutions in Muscatine. They were literally able to help warm up folks in need with a recent donation to Pearl City Outreach.

Charity Garrison, Trisha Nartker, Abby Curtis, Sharon Phillips, Jessica Mendoza, and Jennifer McWade with Team Staffing Solution’s donation to Pearl City Outreach.

For 25 years, Team Staffing Solutions has been making a difference in our community. For anyone searching for a job but not quite sure where to look, they can help you find a position suited to your skills or needs. As Abby Curtis explained it, “we offer workforce solutions throughout the state of Iowa in the areas of temporary staffing, temp-to-hire, direct hire, and on-site management.”

More than just connecting people with jobs, Team Staffing Solutions makes sure everyone involved has a good experience. “Team Staffing Solutions is committed to being the highest quality supplier of employment solutions,” elaborated Curtis. “Our services are delivered with a sense of mutual respect, integrity, and honesty, as well as the appreciation for the growth of our clients and team members.”

Team Staffing Solutions also makes a point of giving back to the community in other ways too. In January, they held a fundraiser with their employees where if they made a monetary donation for charity they could wear jeans to work. Together, Team Staffing Solutions’ employees raised a total of $500. Not bad!

When Team Staffing Solutions’ staff started looking into what local organization they would like to donate to, they saw on Facebook that Pearl City Outreach had a need for coats, hats, mittens, blankets, non-perishable food items, and other necessities to give to those in need dealing with Muscatine’s difficult winter weather. For many years, Pearl City Outreach, lead by Pastor Sharon Phillips, has helped people by providing them with food, a safe warming center during dangerous winter conditions, and free clothing and household items through Jessica Fay’s Closet. Team Staffing Solutions welcomed the opportunity to support their ongoing mission. “Pastor Sharon does so much for the Muscatine community, we were honored to be able to help her and the outreach,” Curtis shared.

Right now, Pearl City Outreach continues to take donations of new or gently used winter boots, coats, hats, and mittens and warm winter blankets. If you would like to join Team Staffing Solutions in helping out Pearl City Outreach, you can drop any of these items off at 509 Mulberry Avenue, Muscatine.
