CARQUEST Opens in Muscatine, Grand Opening set for Oct. 2

MUSCATINE, Iowa–Whether you enjoy working on your car or have large trucks or farm equipment that need maintenance, having access to good quality parts allows you to perform the work quickly and at an affordable price. In many smaller cities, easily accessing quality parts can prove tricky, as not every town has a high-quality auto parts store. Fortunately for Muscatine residents, they now have a new option when it comes to buying auto parts locally, which is one of the nation’s largest sellers of auto, farm, truck and heavy-duty parts. CARQUEST is adjacent to Curry’s Truck, Trailer, and Auto Repair located at 4200 Highway 61 South in Muscatine. Hope Curry, owner of CARQUEST, looks forward to launching this new endeavor and giving, “residents of Muscatine a quality nationally known parts store on the south side of Muscatine.”

To celebrate the store’s opening and to encourage people to come and see it for themselves, CARQUEST will hold a grand opening on Saturday October 2nd beginning at 10 a. m. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy free freshly grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. After having a snack or a light lunch, guests can check out the car show, which is open to car or truck enthusiasts with vintage or collectable vehicles of all types. Attendance is free and there is no pre-registration for the car show.

Race fans can look forward to seeing NHRA drivers Jeff Krug of Mount Pleasant, Iowa and Tim Wilkerson of Springfield, Illinois during the Grand Opening. Both of them will be on hand with their cars, allowing fans to meet them in person and see their machines up close.

As a final bonus, CARQUEST will have displays showcasing different vendors, allowing attendees to see a sample of the many kinds of products and parts they can purchase at the store.

With the CARQUEST grand opening just over a week away, Curry anticipates seeing many old and new faces coming out to enjoy the afternoon and getting to know Muscatine’s newest auto parts store. As people visit, Curry hopes they will get a sense of how much CARQUEST has to offer vehicle owners of all kinds, from those just doing light maintenance to those repairing serious machinery. In the end, Curry hopes lots of people will, “stop in and check out the new store and see the options we have for you.” She also encourages people to stop back often to see their current deals and to look at the new items they have available in stock.
