Today is a Gold Day

The Central Middle School Holiday Choir Concert will take place on Thursday, December 19th at 6:30 PM in the CMS Auditorium.  Students should arrive and be seated by 6:15 PM. Students should dress up to look their best. Please, no t-shirt, jeans with rips or holes and no sweatshirts/hoodies. Students may wear Santa Hats, Reindeer antlers, and Holiday sweaters. Please, nothing that makes sound or flashing lights.

If you are interested in participating in boys basketball or swimming, sign up in the attendance office.

Remember on December 20th we will be having our attendance celebration. Any student with perfect attendance will be able to dodgeball against their peers and other staff members. Be sure to check out our attendance board in front of the main office.  Starting this month, the grade level with the best attendance will be awarded monthly.

Attention 8th grade students and parents, it is not too late to sign up for this year’s DC/NY trip June 3-June 7, 2020 through World Classrooms.  If your student is not already registered, but you would like more information please let me know by emailing [email protected]

Get your last edition of Central Middle School’s yearbook ever! If you have not already purchased one, now is the time. Get your hands on the last edition of a piece of Muscatine history. They can be purchased in a few different ways. You may purchase online through www.jostensyearbooks.com for $16. They may also be purchased by cash or check or card in the main office.

Muskie Store is Open! The district has partnered with Phelps Custom Apparel to offer our staff, families, and community Muskie Apparel! This online store does not close meaning that it remains open for all of your Muskie clothing needs throughout the year.

Go to: https://stores.inksoft.com/phelpsstores_muscatine_muskies/shop/home and check it out!

Attendance: If you have any questions or if your child will not be at school for any reason, you can e-mail [email protected] or call 563-263-7223.

We are excited to encourage our middle school students to attend home basketball games, and cheer on the Muscatine High School Muskies!  We want to ensure that our students, as well as members of our community, and those visiting Muscatine are able to enjoy these even

Here are some additional reminders of expectations for our middle school students:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Stand and remove hats for the National Anthem
  • No horseplay or rough-housing in the middle school section is allowed.
  • Use appropriate language
  • Comply immediately with all stadium staff and law enforcement requests

We encourage families to take a moment to discuss these expectations with students to ensure an enjoyable time for all community members attending the game and supporting our Muskies.  Failure to abide by these expectations may result in removal from the stadium, and loss of privileges in attending future activities or events.

Enjoy cheering the Muskies as you support our team!

Go, Muskies!
