MUSCATINE, Iowa–The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine announced they will move their office from 208 West Second Street #213 to 104 West Second Street. The new location sits adjacent to the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry office and across the street from the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust.
Executive Director of the Community Foundation Charla Schafer noted: “with recent growth of the Community Foundation, coupled with the need for greater distancing for the clients and team, our leadership believed it was the right time to make a move. The new space will afford clients street access to the storefront office, additional privacy in meeting space, and convenient parking.”
The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine has occupied its current office building for the majority of its two-decade history. Schafer added: “we are grateful to Tom and Ann Meeker who have served as our landlords over the last many years. Ann even served as an early board member. We appreciate their contribution and commitment to the success of the Foundation.”
Schafer concluded: “we will also miss our neighbors, Skinny’s Barbeque, Fresh Vintage, the Hall Tree, Proof Social, Wine Nutz, MG Consulting, Plaza Hair Studio, United Way, Principal Financial Group, Port City Underground, and our good friend, Sandy Fortney, that keeps Pearl Plaza looking sharp. But when we counted, we realized we are only 197 steps down the street!”
The Community Foundation anticipates they will complete the move by Jan. 4, 2021. Their telephone number and email contacts will remain the same. They welcome clients and interested parties to stop in and see the new space.
