MUSCATINE, Iowa– The Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GMCCI) announces the receipt of $2,000 in Fareway Stores, Inc. (Fareway) gift cards to distribute to their small business members impacted by COVID-19.

Earlier this month, Fareway donated $200,000 to the Iowa Chamber of Commerce Executives (ICCE) to support small businesses in their communities. ICCE’s members had the opportunity to apply for $1,000 – 2,000 in gift cards. GMCCI applied and received a $2,000 donation.

“ICCE’s members have the pulse in their communities on how to best serve their small business members during this time of need,” said Fareway President and CEO Reynolds W. Cramer. “We hope this donation helps small businesses and their employees that are facing challenges during this crisis.”

GMCCI will distribute the cards to those in-need over the coming days. “This generous donation from Fareway will show support for our small businesses that represent the heart and entrepreneurial spirit of our community,” said GMCCI Membership Director Shelley Sides. “They embody the passion behind our new #MakeitMuscatine marketing campaign.”
