MUSCATINE, Iowa–June 30, Judge Henry Latham issued an order for former city administrator Gregg Mandsager’s lawsuit against the City of Muscatine and select city council members to go to trial Nov. 14, 2022 at 9 a. m. Before the trial begins, Latham also scheduled a settlement meeting between the parties involved at 1 p. m. Sept. 22, 2022.

In February, Mandsager officially filed his suit against the City and Council Members Kelcey Brackett, Nadine Brockert, Osmond Malcolm, former Council Member Santos Saucedo, and Mayor Diana Broderson. He claims that the City wrongfully terminated his contract Dec. 5, 2019 and treated him vindictively in the process. The City rejects the charges on the grounds of lack of evidence.
