MUSCATINE, Iowa— Kent Corporation’s CEO, Gage Kent, attended the United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade agreement signing in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, Jan. 29 as a guest of Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig.
Kent Corporation actively supported the USMCA and those who worked hard on behalf of producers, particularly those in border states, the upper Midwest and New England to help open important markets to their products.
“With the signing of the USMCA, farmers, meat, milk, and egg producers, and manufacturers will see new opportunities for growth and prosperity,” said Kent. “It is a modernized and balanced trade agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This constructive and forward-looking agreement ensures America’s consumers, farmers, manufacturers, innovators, and service providers will have a new economic platform upon which to build a great future. President Trump, his administration, and Congress are to be congratulated on putting forward this historic agreement.”
“It was exciting to be in Washington D.C. to witness President Trump sign the modernized USMCA,” said Naig.
Kent serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Manufacturers. With approximately 2,000 employees, Kent Corporation sees the signing of this agreement as a major win for American workers.
