LETTS, Iowa–Congratulations to the Louisa-Muscatine FFA poultry judging team! They are your 2022 Iowa FFA state champions! They placed first out of 116 teams across the state and will represent Iowa at the 2022 National FFA Convention this October in Indianapolis, Indiana! Kendal Pugh placed first overall individually out of 438 contestants, Brelynn Randall was second overall individually, Skyler Beck was fourth overall, and Will Hoopes placed sixth overall. They were the top team in egg grading, further processed poultry, ready to cook poultry, and the poultry science test. The contest was held at the Hanson Ag Learning Center at Iowa State University and hosted by the Iowa State Poultry Science Department during the 2022 Iowa FFA State Convention.

In other State FFA convention news, congratulations to Brelynn Randall for receiving her Iowa FFA Degree for her supervised ag experience project showing pigs. Congratulations to Haley Wakeland and Skyler Beck for receiving silver ratings in the ag sales and ag broadcasting leadership development events respectively. They did an outstanding job competing against other qualifiers from across the state! Ashton Coder and Lily Riggan served as voting delegates to elect our next state officer team. It was an outstanding trip by some very talented FFA members.
