MUSCATINE, Iowa–Muscatine Community College, an Eastern Iowa Community Colleges campus, will host two informational sessions on Thursday, April 28 at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. for anyone interested in pursuing nursing.

A great opportunity for those looking to explore career options, meet instructors, chat admissions requirements and identify academic success skills, participants should attend the session at the time that works best for them.

Both sessions will take place in-person at MCC’s Musser Building, 152 Colorado Street, Muscatine, and online via Zoom. To join virtually, simply follow the Zoom link at the designated date and time below:

12:30 p.m. session: https://zoom.us/j/96692342091

5:30 p.m. session: https://zoom.us/j/96712366508

The public may attend this event for free. All visitors may use onsite parking.

The college offers two degree options, including an 11-month Practical Nursing (PN) Diploma and two-year Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Degree. With just one year of formal preparation in the PN program, students gain academical qualification to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Practical Nursing. After completion of the ADN program, students academically qualify to take the NCLEX for Registered Nursing.

Both programs qualify for the Iowa Last Dollar Scholarship. This grant, available to Iowa residents, provides an excellent funding opportunity that covers the cost of tuition. The program works simply. You file for financial aid and the state covers the remaining balance beyond the aid for which you receive. Even if you receive no federal or state aid, the program will pay your entire tuition.
