LETTS, Iowa–For the third year in a row, the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons will make an appearance at the state tournament in Fort Dodge Iowa. The Falcons defeated the Wilton Beavers 5-2 at home in order to reclaim their regional title. Though the game started with the Falcons down 2-0, they hit five runs in the second inning, a lead the Beavers never recovered from.

Head coach Bryan Butler took pride in the team’s performance. “”I thought we did well,” he said. As the team prepares for the first game of the tournament July 28, he has faith they will continue to succeed. “I think they feel pretty confident because they’ve gone to Fort Dodge the last three years–the first year, they were really nervous, but now they’ve played in those big games and are seasoned.”
