MUSCATINE, Iowa–The Muscatine Community College (MCC) library is joining academic libraries across the state in a special book return project.

The college library will accept returns for any academic library, quarantine them for 72 hours, and then return them to the owning library. All the person has to do is place the books in the library drop box. The box can be found outside the northeast corner of the college’s Muscatine Industrial Technology Center, located behind the Student Services building on the main campus, 152 Colorado Street.

This is especially helpful for students from out-of-town colleges and universities who may now be back home but still have books in their possession from their home college library. For example, a student attending Northern Iowa University who lives in Muscatine can return books to the MCC book drop without any fines.
