MCSA announces Bob Allbee as interim director

The Muscatine Center for Social Action (MCSA) recently announced they selected Robert “Bob” Allbee  as the interim director to lead MCSA.

Angie Johnson, President of the MCSA Board of Directors, stated, “we are thrilled to have someone of Bob’s caliber assuming this important role in our community. Bob, a lifelong resident of Muscatine, brings depth of experience both inside and outside MCSA, which made him our primary candidate to lead the team and broad array of services of MCSA. We welcome Bob to this role!”

Allbee is a current board of directors and executive committee member of the leadership team. He has served in various and consistent administrative and management volunteer roles for MCSA since 2015, currently serving the food services program, as well as a supporting the Fueling the Future project. Albee was also instrumental in the creation of a stabilizing, short-term certificate development program through Muscatine Community College that is available to the homeless and near homeless in Muscatine County. Allbee is a 1975 graduate of Muscatine High School and a 1977 graduate of Muscatine Community College. Albee completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and later received his master’s degree from the University of Iowa. His career included a span of more than three decades with Muscatine Community and Eastern Iowa Community Colleges. During his time with the colleges he held a variety of business and industry training roles and served as Director of the Eastern Iowa Community College’s Blong Technology Center in Davenport, before being named President of Muscatine Community College in 2011. Allbee retired from this role in 2015.

 

Allbee will assume the position from Scott Dahlke who has served in the Executive Director role since 2018.

The Board of Directors of MCSA recognizes Dahlke’s passion and unrelenting determination to continuously explore opportunities towards MCSA’s mission and vision, and the impact that has had on the organization, clients, and stakeholders through bettering lives and our community. Dahlke leaves the organization with a dedicated leadership team and talented employees who will continue to transform the future and provide caring services to our clients.
