MUSCATINE, Iowa– Every year, the Muscatine Center Social Action has the pleasure of meeting many great volunteers from Bayer who help them with a variety of projects. April 30, Bayer turned those volunteer hours into a substantial donation, giving $3,250 to MCSA.

The Bayer Fund takes the hours that volunteers have spent with an organization and converts them to a dollar amount, resulting in a donation. Thanks to this program, MCSA has received $3,250 to help support their mission. Bayer employees have provided much needed muscle, supplies, experience, and group energy to MCSA to help complete projects, and they could not feel more grateful to have such a great community partner. Employees have pitched in to move in new equipment, fix maintenance issues, work on construction projects, unload trucks, staff MCSA’s annual fireworks tent, throw holiday parties for their residents, and more. MCSA feels lucky to have such a positive relationship with a businesses like Bayer.

Jenny Leirness, MCSA Resource Development Officer states: “it’s an absolute joy working with Bayer’s employees–they are always so enthusiastic and excited to volunteer. The donation from the Bayer Fund comes at such a great time, as this will allow us to meet the extra needs of the community during this time.”
