    MUSCATINE, Iowa–Today, Oct. 2, Salvation Army of Muscatine County Lieutenant Greg Bock announced Mike Ruby as new Chair of the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army of Muscatine County. Ruby fills the vacancy left by Josie Wahl after she resigned her position due to a change in employment. Bock shared, “we acknowledge Wahl’s years of dedication and service to this community and thanked her for her hard work as advisory board chair.”

    Having served on the advisory board since 2018, Ruby most recently presided as the Chairman of the Christmas Committee in 2019 where he led the Corps and Community Center to its most successful Christmas and Red Kettle Campaign in the history of The Salvation Army of Muscatine County.

    Bock has positive expectations for Ruby’s time as board chair: “We look forward to the wealth of knowledge and lifetime of leadership experience Mike will bring to this position,” he said. Believing Ruby will work well with the lieutenants to Bock hopes he will, “help to guide The Salvation Army of Muscatine County to new levels of service and opportunity for those in need all across our communities.”
