MUSCATINE, Iowa–Muscatine County Treasurer, Amy L. Zybarth, certified 2019 Taxes on Property and Mobile Homes payable by Sept. 30 and March 31, 2021. All property owners will receive a tax statement, regardless of who has responsibility for the payments, for informational purposes only. All banks and escrow services will acquire this information online, so property owners need not forward it to them. If you do not receive a statement by Aug. 31, please contact the Muscatine County Treasurer’s office by phone (563-263-6764) or email to request a reprint.

Muscatine County will make preparations to open buildings to the public again soon, trying to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of their employees and customers. In the meantime, they ask you continue to do business using the drop box in front of the Administration building at 414 East Third Street, Muscatine, the online payment methods for taxes and motor vehicles at www.iowatreasurers.org, or by mail. Once open, the treasurer’s office will limit the number of customers to four with minimal waiting space. This will present a challenge, and they ask for your patience and cooperation. They will mail out receipts for all payments received.

Currently, the treasurer’s office takes appointments for title transfers and more complicated transactions. Please feel free to call with any questions. The treasurer’s office takes calls from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Due to a high volume of calls, they request callers to please leave a message if necessary. They thank all county residents for their understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.
