Muscatine Symphony Orchestra – “Elegant Prowess”

Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition winner, Sirena Huang, joins the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra in a performance of the famous violin concerto by Felix Mendelssohn. This exciting and technically challenging piece will be brought to effortless life by Ms. Huang.
The Symphony will also be performing the World Premier of Daniel Perttu’s Nimue and Her Fairies. Featuring a smaller group of musicians, this piece will feature musicians in the orchestra in this fanciful and energetic composition.
Schubert’s timeless Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major will wrap up this breathtaking performance of the MSO.
