There is a remnant sand prairie on the south edge of the farm near the railroad tracks. Our goal is to preserve this area and use it as a research and learning tool for years to come. Currently, this area is degraded by cedar, sumac, and elm trees. We wish to cut out these trees before they spread further throughout the area. After being cut, we will haul the trees to our burn pile. All of the required tools will be provided. We will have some work gloves, but it is recommended that you bring your own.
