State Park Auto Tour

Join Kevin Szcordronski of Ankeny and Ann Raisch of Eldora as they journey across Iowa with the goal to visit all 94 State Parks. Anna Rae, Szcordronski’s 1930 Ford Model A, along with other participants, will be arriving at the Fairport State Recreation Area and departing for Wildcat Den State Park around 4PM on Wednesday, October 13th.
The crew will be doing a windshield tour of each area and listening to a short presentation by park staff. While the tour is emphasizing vintage or classic cars, participants can join the fun in any vehicle of their choice. People can participate in the tour for as many visits as they desire, or simply show up to Wildcat Den State Park during the duration of the visit.
The Friends of Pine Creek Grist Mill will be serving sandwiches, chips, and beverages, with all proceeds going to support interpretation and restoration of Pine Creek Grist Mill. The Mill and Melpine Schoolhouse will be open for tours during this time.
Three tour loops with 36 state park stops are being accomplished in October 2021. The remaining 4 loops and 58 parks will be scheduled for some time in 2022. More information about the tour can be found on the website: www.annareamodela.com
