Muscatine FFA attends district contests

MUSCATINE, Iowa–The Muscatine FFA put up a strong showing at the District FFA Contests. The following students placed:

  • Conduct of Meetings: Nate Beatty, Vayda Bryant, Bob Carver, Emily King, Abbi Linderman, Hailey Schrier, and Brooklyn Wade–1st gold and advancing to state.
  • Creed Speaking: Nathan Scharar–1st gold and advancing to state.
  • Extemporaneous Speaking: Jaiden Schmelzer–3rd gold and alternate to state.
  • Individual Agricultural Sales: Andrew Van Nice–2nd gold and advancing to state.
  • Job Interview: Alli Youngbauer–1st gold and advancing to state.
  • Middle School Ag CSI: Daytona Adams, Dakota Dahlke, Danika Garrett, and Madeline Hillman—silver.
  • Middle School Ag Impact: Rex Buster, Evan Franke, Nicholis Perry, Kacie Riess, Hanna Tils, and Delaney Wieskamp—silver.
  • Parliamentary Procedure: Addison Brown, and Douglas Custis, Anna Scharar, Ryan Smothers, and Grace Williams–silver.
  • Program of Activities: Eve Millage, Hope Reichert, and Ellyse Shippee–1st gold and advancing to state.
  • Radio Broadcasting: Belinda Brian–1st gold and advancing to state.

The Muscatine FFA members and advisers would like to thank all the community members, alumni, and supporters who took the time and resources to help the team practice and prepare. Hopefully, the State FFA Convention will remain scheduled for the end of April and Muscatine can look forward to competing there as well.
