MUSCATINE, Iowa – A Muscatine man has been arrested by Muscatine Police following an investigation into a fight between two adult males that occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, in the Riverside Park parking lot.

Officers responded to the fight at 2:40 a.m. on Dec. 31, 2019. The fight involved Nicholas Sosa, 35, Muscatine, Iowa, and Kevin Schroeder, 28, also of Muscatine, Iowa. Both men sustained injuries in the fight, and both were transported to Trinity Muscatine by the Muscatine Fire Department ambulance with one sustaining blunt force injuries and the other receiving puncture injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Sosa was arrested on two felony charges including willful injury of and going armed with intent. The individual listed is considered innocent of any crimes until proven otherwise by a court of law.
