MUSCATINE, Iowa–The Muscatine Police Department arrested John Robert West, age 47 of Muscatine, for six counts of second degree sex abuse (a class B felony) and one count of lascivious acts (a class C felony). The Muscatine Police Department previously arrested West Feb. 25 third degree sex abuse (a class C felony), lascivious acts (a class C felony), and false imprisonment (a serious misdemeanor). These new charges stem from the continued investigation into West and his activities. Investigators from the Muscatine Police Department have reason to believe that during 2020, West allegedly committed several sex acts with a child under the age of 12.
