On Wednesday, October 28th Officers of the Muscatine Police Department were alerted to a stolen vehicle traveling into town along Mittman Rd. Assisted by members of the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office, Officers and Deputies stopped the stolen vehicle at the intersection of Houser St. and Grandview Ave. The stolen vehicle, a white 2013 GMC Sierra truck, belonging to Aaron Hackett of 2253 Burlington Rd, was occupied by a male and a female. They were identified as:

Matthew Ray Mason, 7/1/1986, of 1002 Illinios St, Muscatine & Shea Elizabeth Eitman, 8/24/1980, of 606 Woodlawn Ave. Muscatine

Both suspects were taken into custody at the scene.

Mason was charged with 1st degree theft, felon in possession of a fireann, carrying
weapons, 3rd degree theft, Class B Possession of controlled substance, driving while barred, 2 counts of 5th degree theft and two active arrest warrants.

Eitman has been charged with 1st degree theft, unlawful possession of prescription
medication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It is possible both suspects are connected to a stolen camper, which remains unaccounted for. It is described as White, 1998, Dutchman travel trailer, with a license plate of GR3566, owned by Travis Vick of 1616 Willow.

This case remains under investigation and anyone with infonnation regarding the stolen camper is asked to call Det. John Hessesling at (563) 263-9922 ext. 665

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court oflaw.
