MUSCATINE, Iowa–NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley offers free nationally developed education programs that teach families to cope, communicate, and effectively advocate for a loved one living with a mental health condition. NAMI will offer two online events in the Muscatine area.
NAMI Family and Friends provides a seminar is led by trained family volunteers with lived experience of supporting a loved one living with a mental health condition. Topics include understanding diagnoses, treatment and recovery, effective communication strategies, the importance of self-care, crisis preparation strategies, and NAMI and community resources. This event will take virtually via video conference. You must register to attend.

A grant from the Muscatine Health Support Fund and support from the Muscatine Community Foundation make this seminar possible.
