Why are you running for election?

I’m running because I want to help enrich the lives of our families, friends, and neighbors. The board of supervisors isn’t about glamour or glory; it’s about working together with all kinds of people to provide effective, efficient, and empathetic government.

What are the three most important issues facing your office over the next term?

Vital issues specific to the Board of Supervisors include:
– Finding and keeping the right people to serve as County employees
– Continuously improving our service to County residents
– Building private and public partnerships to better address the County’s challenges

What are the three most important issues facing Muscatine County over the next term?

Muscatine County must be well-positioned to address the challenges it faces. Some of the most important issues are:
– Lack of affordable housing
– Shortages of mental and physical health care
– Flood and water quality management

What is the most important thing you would like voters to know about you that they may not?

My wife, kids, and I are all Muscatine natives. We are passionate about bringing together the amazing people in this County to accomplish great things for the benefit of all. This County’s best days lie ahead of us.

Also, go Cubs! (There’s always next season.)
