Beverly Bierman Obituary

Beverly Ann Bierman, 92, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Lutheran Living. A Celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services.  Inurnment will follow at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.   A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Beverly’s name. Beverly Ann Carruth was born on September 17, 1931 in Portola, California, the daughter of Harry Hope and Anna Matilda (Gunzenhausen) Carruth.  On January 16, 1950, Beverly was united in marriage to Thomas Buttram in Mountain Home, Arkansas, he preceded her in death.  Beverly later married Robert Bierman on January 25, 1979 in Muscatine.  She loved doing crafts, visiting with people at the nursing homes, shopping, going fishing and never knew a stranger.  When asked how she was doing her famous response was “I’m mean as a piss-ant and bite twice as hard!”

Beverly will be missed by her step-children, Barb (Dorsey) Lane of Muscatine; Kathi (Jerry) DeVore of Muscatine, Judi Daggs of Oelwein; Craig (Judy) Bierman) of Duncan, Oklahoma and Mark Bierman of Pinon Hills, California; step-daughter-in-law Carolyn Bierman of Moscow and Sylvia Bierman of Yuma, Arizona; 2 grandchildren and 14 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 17 step-great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and 8 step great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Carruth and Anna Knox; both husbands; daughter, Linda Buttram; son, Thomas Buttram; step-daughter, Jan Ingle; step-sons, Robert Bierman, Jr and Mike Bierman and step-son-in-law, Carl Daggs.
