MUSCATINE, Iowa – Diane Marie Bouchard, 67, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her pets whom she considered children.

There will be no services at Diane’s request. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.wittichfuneralhome.com. Diane was born on November 26, 1954 in Davenport, IA to John (Jack) and Lorraine (Moses) Mahoney. She was united in marriage to F. Scott Bouchard on July 3rd, 2015. She was previously married to Rod Eaton for 22 years. Diane was a 1973 graduate of Muscatine High School, and Black Hawk College.

A lover of animals, she could not turn away a stray. Diane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Diane (Grandma Dee Dee) was always there to lend a helping hand in any way she could. She loved Holiday get togethers and playing cards and games, surrounded by family and laughs. Time spent with her grandchildren was one of her most treasured activities.

Diane is survived by her husband, F. Scott Bouchard; her daughter, Shannon (Charlie) Lewis and her son, Thom (Clare) Eaton, stepson Garrett (Marlee) Nimmick, stepdaughter Amanda (Brandon) Brenson, and stepson Nick Bouchard; grandchildren Hayden and Wyatt Eaton, Chale and Elsie Lewis, and stepgrandchildren Levi, Reid, Cruz, and Nia Nimmick; siblings Sue (Frank) Evans, Terri (Neil) Schubich, Denny (Lezlie) Mahoney, Kathy (Ralph) Danner, and Cyndi (Mike) Fahrlander; mother- and father-in-law Sandy and Donnie Shadle; brother- and sister-in-laws Dean, Rich (Lisa), Mike (Lisa), Bill, Brian (Ellen), Carol, and Brenda, and several nieces and nephews.
