Ella Mae Hetzler, 89, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Premier Estates. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine. Burial will take place at a later date. Ella Mae Fisher was born on December 1, 1933 in Muscatine the daughter of Jefferson and Viola (Rhoads) Fisher. On March 13, 1955, Ella Mae was united in marriage to Raymond Leroy Hetzler in Colorado Springs, CO. She was a member Sweetland United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau Women and was a 4H Leader. Ella Mae was a hardworking farm wife, she milked cows and helped with all the chores. She was a talented seamstress, making clothes for all her children. Ella Mae enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook, well known for her pies, especially apple. Her pride and joy was her family and she cherished every moment with them.
Ella Mae will be deeply missed by her children, Vicki Daufeldt of Muscatine, Darrell (Doreen) Hetzler of Sun Prairie, WI, Brian (Carrie) Hetzler of Muscatine; 10 grandchildren, PJ (Alison) Daufeldt, Adam (Cori) Daufeldt, Jake (Nichole) Daufeldt, Libby (Isaiah) Phillips, Josh (Allison) Hetzler, Nick (Amanda) Hetzler, Brianne (Joe) Doerger, Natalie (Levi) Schroder, Lucas (Kelsey) Hetzler and Megan (Matthew) Silker; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Donna Price of Davenport.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, grandson Cody Andrew Hetzler and two brothers, Clifford and Robert Fisher.
