Joann Zieglowsky, 88, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Columbus city Cemetery. A time of light refreshments and fellowship will be held at the Columbus City Masonic Hall immediately following the graveside service. Beverly Joann Woodruff was born on August 28, 1934 in Louisa County, the daughter of Stephen Glenn and Ruth Jane (Kelly) Woodruff. Joann had worked for Fuller Brush and Lear in Iowa City and for a short time at Fleet Way and Heinz in Muscatine. She loved football, especially watching the Minnesota Vikings! She was an assistant coach for the West Branch Girls softball team. She enjoyed being around your children and watching them grow. We will all miss her feisty and sassy nature.
Joann will be deeply missed by her children, Susan Reed of Grand Rapids, Michigan and David Zieglowsky of Muscatine. Five grandchildren, Hiedi Johnson, Corey (Rachel) Johnson, Stacy Johnson, Michael (Melissa) Zieglowsky and Daniel (Samantha) Zieglowsky; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her adopted family members Mike and Stacie Newsom and Matt, Olivia and Maisy Howell.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marjorie Sanford, Linda Cox, Mary Schnieder and Patricia Stinson and brothers, Ellis “Bud” Woodruff, Charles Woodruff, Paul Woodruff, Robert Woodruff and Larry Woodruff
