Kristin Kay DeRuyter, 42, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Muscatine.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the Fruitland Community Center from 4:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for Kristin’s family and the arrangements.

Kristin Kay Rickey was born on February 27, 1980, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Daniel A. and Susan Lynn (Garrison) Rickey.  She was united in marriage to Harley DeRuyter and later separated.  She enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping and fishing, but most of all, she dearly loved to spend time with her family and friends.  She was known for having a big heart, helping others whenever she could.

Kristin will be deeply missed by her father, Daniel Rickey of Muscatine; her children, Devon Michael (Phoebe) Duggan of Hinesville, Georgia and Beau Alen Rickey of Muscatine; siblings, Terry Garrison of Muscatine, Jamie Rickey of Muscatine, Jacob (Heather) Rickey of Muscatine, John (Dena) Rickey of Muscatine and Joshua (Tifany) Rickey of Fruitland; companion, Bert Green of Muscatine and many nieces and nephews.

Kristin was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and mother, Susan Rickey.
