Knitting, sewing, gardening, and lawn care were things that Mary enjoyed doing in her free time.  Paul and Mary also enjoyed traveling, having gone to many places together across the United States of America. She also appreciated spending time with her children, grandchildren, and in later years, her great grandchildren.

Left to mourn the loss of Mary are daughters, Martha (Jim) Romig and Jane (Roger) Battin, all of Edgewood, Iowa.  Four grandchildren, Sara (Paul) Romig-Martin, Tipton, Iowa; Luke (Tracey) Romig, Edgewood, Iowa; Sam (Kristie) Battin, Elkader, Iowa; Laura (Chris Carlson) Battin, Edgewood, Iowa. Four great grandchildren, Carter and Bella Battin, Elkader, Iowa and Colleen and Karly Romig, Edgewood, Iowa.
