William Dean “Bill” Siegrist, 86, of Muscatine, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bill.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Bill was born February 4, 1936 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Dean and Elizabeth Irene (Bainbridge) Siegrist. He graduated from Ottumwa High School. Bill married Yvonne Grinstead and they later divorced. He was united in marriage to Betty Kay Lofgren on December 2, 1978 in Burlington, Iowa.

Bill worked as a Senior Operator for Monsanto for many years. He was a past member of the Elks Club and the Moose Lodge. Bill enjoyed camping, boating and playing pool. He also enjoyed traveling south for the winter and loved his dogs.

Bill will be deeply missed by his wife, Betty Siegrist of Muscatine; son, Patrick (Donna) Siegrist of Ainsworth; daughter, Lori Siegrist (Walt Fritchen) of Hiawatha; step-children: Michael (Lisa) Lofgren of Ithaca, NY; Deborah “Debbie” Keleher of Muscatine; Christine Crist of Ely; Rebecca “Becky” (Tom) Duncan of Cape Coral, FL; Mark (Paula) Lofgren of Muscatine; Jim (Jennifer) Lofgren of Muscatine; Lisa Freilinger of Muscatine; and Vicki (Jade) Jones of Muscatine; twenty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley (Frank) Davis; grandson, Adam Crist; great-grandson, Louden Lofgren; and son-in-law, Michael Crist.
