MUSCATINE, Iowa – The City of Muscatine has several opportunities available for qualified individuals who are seeking full-time and/or seasonal work including an Inspector II with the Department of Community Development, a Right-of-Way Inspector with the Department of Public Works, a Pool Manager for the Department of Parks and Recreation, and several seasonal employment opportunities with Parks and Recreation.

Inspector II – This is skilled office and field inspection work in securing compliance with state and municipal codes, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to the construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, and change in occupancy of buildings and structures, including electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems. Right-of-Way Inspector – Performs inspection services on a wide range of permitted construction projects in the public right-of-way such as driveways, utility repairs, and sidewalks, to ensure that construction details conform to plans, specifications and city code. Find out more.

Pool Manager – This is a responsible seasonal position working a flexible schedule from late May through early September. This position will work a maximum of 35-40 hours per week while the facility is open and may work minimal hours during pre- and post-season preparations. Find out more.
