MUSCATINE, Iowa–The Muscatine Police Department opened an investigation into an overnight shooting. On May 3 at 9:41 p.m., members of the Muscatine Police Department responded to a report of gunshots at 1816 Logan Street in Muscatine. They determined the parking lot had multiple rounds fired across it that caused no injuries. The gunfire struck an apartment building and a vehicle. Officers recovered two handguns at the scene they believed contributed to the incident. They interviewed several people but made no arrests. They believe the shooting represents a targeted incident and presents no ongoing threat to the public. Officers remained on the scene for several hours as the investigation occurred.
