Muscatine The Salvation Army in Muscatine confirmed today that there has been positive COVID-19 tests within the corps building located at 1000 Oregon St. Out of an abundance of caution The Salvation Army will remain closed through March 12th and will be thoroughly cleaned during that time.

The Lieutenants have been in contact with officials at Trinity Muscatine Public Health and are following the required protocol regarding notifications.  Lt. Greg stated, “We have made the proper notifications regarding anyone who may have been around our facility around the exposure time.” The Lieutenant continued, “Our building will be sanitized and our staff will be continuing to work remotely to serve our community to minimize any disruption of services.”

We ask that all employees and clients continue to follow social distancing and wear masks upon entering The Salvation Army when the building re-opens next week.  For local information on Covid-19, visit https://www.muscatinecountyiowa.gov/513/COVID-19-UPDATES
