MUSCATINE, Iowa – All five- and six-year-olds in Muscatine are invited to register for the 2020 Tee-Ball program that will be held this summer in Muscatine.

The Tee-Ball program, sponsored by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department, is designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball and softball through coached practices and non-competitive games that are incorporated into the program. Players all hit from an adjustable batting tee.

Participants must be age five (5) or six (6) during the calendar year 2020. All participants will receive a Tee-Ball t-shirt. Practices and games will be conducted at Kent Stein Park.

Registration is now available online through the City of Muscatine website, in person at the Parks and Recreation office in the lower level of City Hall, or by phone at (563) 263-0241.

Adults do not have to miss out on the fun this summer, and can bring America’s Pastime to Muscatine by volunteering to be a head or assistant coach for a Tee-Ball team. Each team will need at least two volunteer coaches. Any adult wishing to volunteer should contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241 or email at [email protected].

Participants can register for the Monday/Wednesday session (June 15 – July 8) or the Tuesday/Thursday session (June 16 – July 9). Space is limited in each session, so don’t wait to sign your all-star up for this program.

Registration is open through June 5, 2020.

There is a $30.00 fee for residents and a $35.00 fee for non-residents.

For more information, please contact the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241.
