Soccer Skills Camp to be held in January

MUSCATINE, Iowa – An introductory program to teach boys and girls the fundamentals of soccer will be held in January according to the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department. The introductory program will teach boys and girls in Kindergarten through the third grade the fundamental skills of soccer through fun drills and scrimmages.

Trained staff will lead the children in this instructional program once a week for four weeks.

The Soccer Skills Clinic will take place on Saturdays from January 4, 2020, to January 25, 2020. Children in Kindergarten and the first grade will play from 9:00–9:55 a.m. while children in the second and third grades will play from 10:00–10:55 a.m. in the Large Gymnasium at West Middle School.

Registration fee is $25.00 for Muscatine residents and $30.00 for non-residents with a tee shirt included in the fee. Registration is currently underway and will close on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
