The Test Iowa drive-thru site currently located in Dallas County at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines will move to a new metro-area location when testing concludes on Friday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m.

The site will be temporarily relocated to Merle Hay Mall, 4000 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines, in the north parking lot near the former Sears store. The site will reopen for testing on Monday, Oct. 5 at 8 a.m.

Two Test Iowa sites currently serve the metro area. The second is located at Polk County River Place, 2309 Euclid Avenue in Des Moines.

Additionally, work is underway to relocate Test Iowa drive-thru sites to enclosed structures ahead of the winter season. Site moves are anticipated in the coming weeks.

Test Iowa offers COVID-19 testing at drive-thru and clinic sites across the state. To be tested, individuals must first complete an assessment at testiowa.com and schedule an appointment. A complete listing of locations is available at testiowa.com and coronavirus.iowa.gov.
