MUSCATINE, Iowa– The Muscatine Soil and Water Conservation District, along with Conservation Districts of Iowa and the National Association of Conservation Districts, will again offer the Conservation Poster Contest this year. Any child residing in Muscatine County currently attending public or private school or participating in homeschooling may enter. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade can participate.
This year’s poster contest has a theme of, “One Water.” Applicants must submit their poster accompanied by their poster contest entry forms to the Muscatine County SWCD office, 3500 Oakland Drive, Suite A in Muscatine, by Friday, April 28. Entrants may print both of the forms they will need from the Conservation Districts of Iowa website. The website also has complete contest entry guidelines and examples of winning posters from last year.
The Muscatine County Soil and Water Conservation District would also like to remind county residents that their tree sale will continue until March 15. Anyone who would like to purchase native trees or shrubs to add to their property may pick up a registration from from the SWCD office, call 563-263-7944, or email Coder to ask additional questions about the sale or get an order form.
