Why are you running for election?

After serving the last four years on the board of the Muscatine Community School District, I am seeking a second-term to continue the ongoing work to support the students, staff and parents of our great district.

What is the most important issue facing your office? Why does it matter? How will you address it?

Continuing to provide students with a rigorous education. Quality education can open doors

What is the second most important issue facing your office? Why does it matter? How will you address it?

Preparing our students for life after H.S. regardless of the path chosen (work, college, military)

If elected, what steps would you take to improve perceptions of Muscatine in the surrounding area?

The district has a lot to be proud of! We will continue to improve the marketing of our district.

What is the most important thing you would like voters to know about you that they may not?

There are two things I would like voters to keep in mind regarding my tenure as a member of the Board of Education for MCSD.

1). Students First – Regardless of the issue at hand, I will continue to vote my conscience and for what I feel will have the greatest impact for the students, staff and families of our district.

2). From my first day on the board until now, I have no agenda! Please see #1
