MUSCATINE, Iowa–Toyota of Muscatine recently donated funds for the purchase of a Hunter tire changer for the Muscatine High School Industrial Technology Program. The new technology will provide additional learning opportunities and training for students who have an interest in automotive careers.

“Since we purchased Toyota of Muscatine 17-years-ago, our family has supported a number of community projects with a focus on children and education,” said Jeff Weber, Toyota of Muscatine. “Supporting the Muskie’s automotive program is another way for our Toyota of Muscatine team to promote local interest in our industry and encourage young women and men to consider a career in the automotive sector.”

Funds for the tire changer were distributed from the Toyota of Muscatine Donor Advised Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine, which provides support for the charitable interests of its collective employee base.

In addition to their Donor Advised Fund, Toyota of Muscatine also has a scholarship fund at the Community Foundation, providing support to graduating seniors in Muscatine County who are intending to pursue a career in an automotive or business-related field. Preference is given to students enrolled in an automotive program.

“We are grateful for our partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine to help make this and other important community projects a reality,” said Jeff Weber.

Over recent years, Toyota of Muscatine has supported programs such as the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Fueling the Future program aimed at having fewer hungry kids in Muscatine County, and the Kindhearted Kids program for the Muscatine Community School District.
