TruAcre Technology would like to welcome Sean Mears as a Precision Technology Consultant to their team of farm technology professionals.

Mears first experienced the agriculture industry at a young age when he began working on various farms near his hometown of Wapello, Iowa. During this time, he developed a love for crops, ag machinery, and livestock. His interest in ag expanded into his high school years and he continued working on row crop and livestock farms. He attended Muscatine Community College for their agribusiness program and later transferred to Iowa State University to complete his bachelor’s degree in agricultural studies with a minor in agronomy.

Mears’s passion for agriculture drives him to continue expanding his knowledge in an ever-changing environment. At TruAcre, he will service precision technology products within the farming community, as well as offer additional tools and resources in the marketplace to drive his customers to success. “I have really appreciated the intentional vision and values TruAcre is passionate about encouraging in each of their employees,” says Mears, “and I look forward to encouraging each of our customers and team members in the same way.”

The son of Ed and Cyndi Mears, Mears grew up in Wapello. In 2014, he graduated from Wapello High School, where he participated heavily in FFA and 4-H and served as an officer in the farm operations club. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2018 and took part in the entrepreneur initiative program. His personal experience in these associations give him an opportunity to engage with his customers in a genuine way. Mears and his wife, Addie, reside in Moline, Illinois.
