    MUSCATINE, Iowa – Two Muscatine men were arrested on several charges following an early morning fight on Saturday that resulted in four persons being treated for stab wounds.

     

    Officers of the Muscatine Police Department responded to the area of the 1000 block of 1st Avenue at approximately 3:00 a.m. Saturday (May 15, 2021) in reference to a fight that had occurred.  

     

    Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 22-year-old female and a 21-year-old male had been seriously injured. Both were transported to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Muscatine for treatment.  In addition, a 23-year-old male and 19-year-old male were stabbed during the incident and both required medical treatment. 

     

    As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

     

    Mike Fidencio Perez Jr., 23, (date of birth 06/28/1997), 1218½ Smalley Street, Muscatine, Iowa – charged with two (2) counts of Willful Injury (C Felony), and one (1) count of Criminal Gang Participation (D Felony). Perez is being held in the Muscatine County Jail.

     

    Jaime Michael Gomez, 19, (date of birth 02/21/2002), 1004 East 9th Street, Muscatine, Iowa – charged with one (1) count of Criminal Gang Participation (D Felony).

     All persons listed should be considered innocent of the aforementioned charges until proven otherwise by a court of law.
