Today is a PURPLE Day!

 

Upcoming events and dates to remember:

Jan. 20 – NO SCHOOL – Teacher Inservice

 

Did you know that every three minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer? Pennies for Patients is a campaign that raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This organization helps the families of patients who have this disease. Our school is joining over 25,000 schools across the nation to make a difference and raise as much money as we can the next two weeks to help find a cure for cancer. Please bring in your spare change starting Monday, January 13th and give it to your 1st period Purple day teacher. Penny Wars will last for two weeks. The first period class to raise the most money will earn a special breakfast! Thank you for your participation in this important fundraiser!

 

SWIMMERS! We have Swimming Sign Up Sheets in our office areas. Swim practice begins on Monday, January 27th @ 6:15 AM – 7:45 AM at MHS Pool; Swimmers will need to find their own ride to practice. We invite any and all students who love to splish, splash, and splat their way around a pool to join. It’s lots of fun, and great exercise. You must have a current physical, concussion form, and Insurance waiver completed to participate.  

Sign –up is on the Gold office window.

 

ATTENTION: 7th & 8th Grade girls interested in Track!!!

WHAT: Off season workouts with MHS track team

WHEN: Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. 

WHERE: Meet at MHS commons area by gym/cafeteria

BUS Number 16-5

Students may ride this bus to practice, but need to find own transportation home!

Do you have an idea for a student organization or want to start a new club here at West? Please bring your ideas to Mrs. Duran or Mrs. Proehl and they can help you figure out how to make it happen.

 

Lunch Groups: Are you interested in being a part of a weekly lunch group? Do you want to meet new people or connect with your teachers over lunch? Join our 2nd-semester lunch groups! There is a sign-up sheet outside of Mrs. Duran’s classroom, room 18. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Duran.

 

Homework help starts today. We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in room 18. You can work on homework for any class!

 

Anyone who would like to help backstage on the musical, please sign up on the musical page  www.muskiechoir.com in the next week.

 

Boy’s basketball practice starts today!

You must have your physical, waiver, and concussion sheets signed before you can practice.
