Why are you running for election?
I have worked in the office as Deputy Treasurer since 2000, currently finishing my 2nd term as Treasurer. I still enjoy what I do and I’m proud to serve Muscatine County residents.
What are the three most important issues facing your office over the next term?
Keeping up with changing legislation for both Motor Vehicle and Property Tax.
Staffing- I have a great staff but as people retire, it is difficult to find qualified replacements.
Educating the public about changes, not everyone uses computers or reads a newspaper.
What are the three most important issues facing Muscatine County over the next term?
Attracting qualified applicants for County jobs with competitive wages.
What is the most important thing you would like voters to know about you that they may not?
