A program about avoiding becoming the victim of fraud will be done for Spanish speakers in West Liberty this week.
The Iowa Insurance Division is hosting an anti-fraud informational meeting at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 107 West 6th Street in West Liberty, Sunday, Sept. 24 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The program will be spoken completely in Spanish. No registration is required to attend the informational meeting.
“This is information put together for our Spanish-speaking community by the Iowa Insurance Division,” said West Liberty Area Economic Development Director Ken Brooks.
WeLead is partnering with LULAC and the West Liberty Community SDistrict to bring the program to town.
“Ed Moreno with LULAC thought WeLead would be a valuable resource in helping to provide this information to the industry and community so they can encourage their Spanish-speaking employees to attend,” Brooks said.
This is the third meeting that was held across the state, Brooks said. One was held in Souix City and another one was held in Des Moines.
