BBQ pulled chicken

Prep Time – 10 minutes
Cook Time – 6 hours
Servings – 6 servings
Equipment – slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds organic chicken breasts
  • 2/3 cup BBQ sauce (Stubb’s is our favorite)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Make the rub by combining brown sugar, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rub the seasoning mixture onto the trimmed chicken breasts and place into the slow cooker.
  3. Pour BBQ sauce over the chicken breasts (cover both sides of the breast).
  4. Add 1⁄2 cup water to the slow cooker.
  5. Cook on low for 6 hours.
  6. Shred with a fork.
