    MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine City Council will conduct a special meeting for a closed session of Council at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. The agenda is available on the City of Muscatine website.

    The request to enter closed session is per Iowa Code 21.5(c) to discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation.

    The City Council is complying with guidelines from local, state, and federal organizations, and conducting meetings by conference calls. The open portion of the April 15 meeting is available to the public. The Council will leave the call for the closed session but the public portion will remain available until the Council returns from the closed session.

    The final item on the public agenda is for the Council to discuss the Muscatine County Landfill operations and the Landfill contractor with possible action to follow.
