City offices closed January 1; refuse, recycling delayed

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Administrative offices at Muscatine City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, Jan 1, 2020, for New Year’s Day. City administrative offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.

The Transfer Station along with the Compost Facility will also be closed on Wednesday, Jan 1, 2020.

There will be no curbside refuse or yard waste collection on Wednesday, Jan 1, 2020. Residents on the Wednesday route will have their refuse collected on Thursday (Jan. 2, 2020), along with the normal Thursday route.

There will be no curbside recycling collection on Wednesday, Jan 1, 2020. Curbside recycling collection will run one day late starting on New Year’s Day. For example, residents on the Wednesday route will have their recycling collected on Thursday; Thursday on Friday; and, Friday on Saturday.

MuscaBus will not be running routes on Wednesday, Jan 1, 2020. Regular service will resume on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.
